A closed 3D format

The Vuframe® apps show 3D models in the Vu3D format (.vu3d, and .vu3dx when compressed). Vu3D is a closed specification: third parties cannot change the structure of the format. Unlike glTF and GLB, Vu3D does not allow arbitrary JSON or binary extensions. This makes the attack surface smaller.

Data reduction against reverse engineering

Our data pipeline makes the 3D models from your CAD data automatically. Its data reduction keeps models with millions of parts fast, and it protects them against reverse engineering.

Access and control

  • The data stays in German data centers.
  • Role-based access control and full access logging, as on the security page.
  • You can revoke shared content at any time, offline copies included.
